What Size Party Tent Do You Need?

For a seated dinner at 60-inch round tables, plan about 12 square feet per guest. A 20x20 tent covers roughly 32 seated guests, a 20x40 covers about 64, and a 40x60 covers about 190. Add space for the bar, buffet, cake, DJ and dance floor — those four stations quietly eat 400 to 800 square feet.

Our free tent layout planner lets you drop your real tent, tables and dance floor onto a satellite image of your property before you book, including the five feet of stake clearance every tent needs around the perimeter.

Frame Tents vs Marquee Tents

Frame tents are free-standing with no center poles, so every square foot inside is usable and the floor plan is yours. They are the workhorse for backyard weddings, corporate hospitality and catering areas.

Marquee tents carry higher peaks and a more dramatic ceiling line — the right call when the tent itself is part of the design and you are hanging bistro lighting or chandeliers from it.

Sidewalls, Heat and Lighting

Eastern Washington weather turns fast. Solid or cathedral-window sidewalls block wind and late-season cold; propane patio heaters keep a shoulder-season reception comfortable; drum and misting fans handle August at Cave B or in the Columbia Basin.

Bistro string lighting inside a tent is the single highest-impact dollar in event rental. We plan power with the lighting so nothing trips mid-reception.

Tent Rental Prices and Site Checks

Tent rental cost depends on size, anchoring method, sidewalls, lighting and site access. Qualifying events include a free field measure so the tent that shows up actually fits the ground it is going on.

We deliver across Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Chelan, Leavenworth, Cle Elum, Suncadia, Yakima, Ellensburg, Moses Lake, Quincy, Ephrata, the Methow Valley and the Tri-Cities. Suncadia, Cave B, Beecher Hill House, Host Wenatchee and most regional venues are sites we have installed on before.

What size tent do I need for 100 guests?

For a seated dinner at round tables, roughly 1,200 square feet — a 30x40 footprint or equivalent — plus space for bar, buffet, DJ and dance floor. We build the exact layout with you before you book.

How much does a party tent rental cost?

It depends on tent size, anchoring, sidewalls, lighting and site access. Send your date, guest count and venue and we will quote the full package rather than a per-tent guess.

Do you set up the tent, or is it drop-and-go?

Either. Most clients take full-service delivery, install and teardown. We also do professional drop-and-go for crews that want to run their own setup — the gear arrives clean, complete and on time.

Can you install a tent on gravel, pavement or a slope?

Yes. We anchor with stakes, ballast or weights depending on surface, and we level and shim as needed. Tell us the surface when you inquire so we bring the right anchoring.

How much clearance does a tent need?

Plan about five feet of clear space beyond the tent footprint on every side for stakes and guy straps. Our layout planner draws that clearance ring automatically.
