A standard propane patio heater warms roughly a 12 to 15 foot circle. For a tented reception plan one heater per 8 to 10 guests seated around the perimeter, where the cold actually comes in.
Sidewalls do half the work. A tent with walls down and four heaters is warmer than an open tent with eight.
Drum fans move real air through a tent and keep a dance floor tolerable. Misting fans drop the felt temperature significantly for outdoor ceremonies and vendor areas in Quincy, Moses Lake, Yakima and the Tri-Cities.
