Emergency Stage and Platform Rentals for Briefings and Public Information
2024-01-24 · 4 min read

When an incident requires public communication, a platform makes the difference between a message that lands and a crowd that can't see or hear. Our BilJax modular decking assembles in sizes from 8x8 up to 24x24 and installs quickly on uneven ground.
Common emergency staging uses
- Press conferences and daily incident briefings
- Community and public information meetings
- Elevated observation or traffic control points
- Raised platforms for generators, equipment or flood-prone ground
- Ramped access platforms at shelters and distribution sites
Sizing and height
An 8x8 handles a podium and two people. A 12x16 fits a full panel with signage. Deck height is adjustable, and legs level independently — which matters on the gravel lots and sloped fields where incident sites usually land. Skirting, steps and guardrails are available with the decking.
Safety and access
Any platform used by the public should have steps with handrails and guardrails on open edges. Say the word and we'll spec them in — it's rarely the thing anyone remembers to ask for under pressure.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can a stage be installed?
A small briefing platform typically installs in under an hour once crews are on site. Larger decks scale with size and ground conditions.
Can the stage go on uneven ground?
Yes. BilJax legs adjust individually, so we can level decking across slope, gravel and turf.
Do you include steps and railings?
They're available with every deck and we strongly recommend them for any public-facing platform.
